Equity & Multilateralism
In analyzing global environmental governance arrangements, my work highlights the contested politics and structural inequalities within which the processes and outcomes of governance manifest.

I analyze some first-order political questions in all areas of my research. These include: Who has a seat at the table, who gets how much and why, and who decides?
More broadly, I am interested in the winners and losers from the processes and outcomes of global environmental governance.

I have a long-standing interest in multilateral, state-based United Nations processes, where I consider the prospects for a solidarity-based multilateralism that reduces rather than exacerbates global inequalities.

I am now beginning work on equity in space futures, as part of an EU COST Action, as described below.

Futures-oriented Governance of Outer Space: Towards Peace, Equity, and Environmental Integrity (COST Action project)
In this newly starting EU COST Action, I am involved in the overall conceptualization of the anticipatory governance of space futures. I will also take the lead in the Working Group on Equity in Space Governance, to be operationalized starting from year 2 of the Action.
